Loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Alphonse Al Bernard the former Irma Romero, Age 93, at 11:00AM Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2009 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Bernard was a native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish. Survivors include one granddaughter, Colleen McDonald Bayard and husband David of New Iberia; great grandson, David Bayard, Jr. of New Iberia; great Granddaughters, Makayla and Shana Bayard both of New Iberia; great great grandchild, Bralyn Eldridge of New Iberia and her son-in-law, Allen McDonald. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pricilla McDonald; her parents, Ovey and Laura Broussard Romero and two sisters, Electa Parent and Usea Bourque. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
