Lucy Domingue Menard

Breaux Bridge - A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends followed by Memorial Services for Mrs. Lucy Domingue Menard, 71, will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy., at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. respectfully on Friday, August 06, 2010. Reverend Noah Langley, Chaplain for Hospice of Acadiana, will officiate the service. Mrs. Menard passed away on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 at her sons home in Breaux Bridge. Lucy was a native of Youngsville, LA and the daughter of Willie and Oniela Romero Domingue. She is survived by three sons; Carson Menard and his wife Karen of Breaux Bridge, LA, Shannon Menard and his wife, Jeanne of Lacombe, LA and William Menard and his wife, Theresa of Lafayette, LA; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Oniela Romero Domingue of Youngsville and her brother, Chester Domingue and his wife Pat of Slidell, LA. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Domingue. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in the memory of Mrs. Menard to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503 or online at hospiceacadiana.com. The family would also like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lafayette General Hospital and also the staff at Hospice of Acadiana for their care and compassion during Mrs. Menards illness.
