Loreauville " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Clevens Francis Belaire, Age 77, at 10:00AM Monday December 28, 2009 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux and Father Paul Onugebe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday December 27, 2009 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Breaux Bridge and longtime resident of Loreauville, Mr. Belaire died Thursday December 24, 2009 at 1:05AM in a New Iberia health care facility. He was a sugarcane farmer and owner operator of Belaires Cajun Cooking. Mr. Belaire enjoyed cooking for many organizations in Iberia Parish. His crawfish boils and cochon du laits were most memorable. He was also an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Crochet Belaire of Loreauville; children, Pauline Polly Dugas and husband Randy of Loreauville, David Belaire and fiance Sue Ryan of Loreauville, Bernardine Stewart and husband Barney of Rayne , Francine B. Dugas and husband Joel of Loreauville, Sharon Oubre of St. Martinville and Glen Belaire and wife Dodi of Spring, Texas ; sisters, Earline Degaterre of Lake Charles , Oline Guidry and husband Malvin of Cecilia, Sadia Guilbeau of Alexandria, Iva Mae Theriot and husband Clifton of Catahoula and Elmae Picard and husband Purvis of New Iberia; brothers, Loiston Belaire and wife Barbara of Lafayette and Earles Belaire and wife Merline of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Andrea Charpentier, Allison Bonin, Danielle Belaire, Bart Belaire, Steven Stewart, Caroline Stewart, Jake Dugas, Emmalea Dugas, Catherine Dugas, John Dugas, Matthew Dugas, Anne Michelle Oubre, Jeffrey Oubre, Joshua Belaire and Cole Belaire and great grandchildren, Austin and Mindy Charpentier, Bailen and Andi Bonin and Carson Gondron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Placide and Emma Landry Belaire and a brother-in-law Morris Degaterre. Pallbearers will be Robert Picard, Glen and David Belaire, Jake Dugas, Steven Stewart and Jeffrey Oubre. Honorary pallbearers will be Bart and Scott Belaire, Willis Guidry, Joel and Randy Dugas and Barney Stewart. David Funeral Home, 118 Main Street, Loreauville, La.
