Abbeville " Funeral Services for Mr. James Harris, Jr., 66, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at First Apostolic Church with Rev. Joseph J. Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Saturday, April 4, 2009 beginning at 9:00AM until the time of Services. Interment will follow at Mt. Triumph Cemetery. Mr. Harris, a native and resident of Abbeville, passed away at 10:16AM on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at a local New Iberia hospital. Mr. Harris worked as a Corp of Engineer in the Oilfield. He was a loving husband, father,and brother. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fusilier Harris of Abbeville; one daughter, Amanda Harris of Port Arthur, Texas; two brothers, Roy Harris and his wife Ethel of Abbeville, and Floyd Harris of Abbeville; two sisters, Adell Nolan and Merlene LeBlanc and husband Randy both of Abbeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mariah Mathews Harris, Sr.; a brother, Lloyd Harris; and three sisters, Earline Harris, Alberta Harris, and Mary Mitchell.
