Gordon Lee Duck

November 3, 1934 — May 11, 2009

New Iberia- A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Gordon Lee Duck. Mr. Duck passed away Monday May 11, 2009 at 1:49PM at his New Iberia residence.

Mr. Duck was a graduate of Haynesville High School and Louisiana State University. He was a professor at Stanford University, San Francisco State University, and University of Southwestern Louisiana; and was a principal at Magnolia School in New Orleans. Mr. Duck retired as Assistant Superintendent of Special Education in the state of California.

Survivors include one brother, James W. Duck and wife Patsy of New Iberia; and three sisters, Elaine Duck Meek of Bunkie, Susan Meek of Marksville, and Brenda Duck of Baker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Shelby Lee and Hazel Elaine Hearne Duck.
