Visitation will be on Thursday, December 31 from 8:30 AM until services. The Catholic Daughters will recite a rosary in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Broussard died on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 8:40 PM at Cornerstone Village South in Lafayette. Oran was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards with his longtime friends. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his four sons, Dale Broussard and his wife Jo Ann Rhodes of Lafayette, Dwayne Broussard and his wife Ann Lasseigne of Youngsville, Carl Broussard and his wife Lana Breaux of New Iberia and Craig Broussard and his wife Sharon Billiot of Broussard and his ½ sister, Geraldine Romero and her husband Kenneth of New Iberia, also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nathalie Bonin Broussard; his father, Clarence Broussard; his mother, Rena Savoy Broussard and his brothers, Mickey Jacquemoud and Larry Broussard.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, especially Dee Patin and Pat Richard and the staff of Cornerstone South.
