He will be carried home by his son, Tony J. Broussard, brother, Anthony J-Bird Broussard Jr., his grandchildren Josh & Kalem Perkins, John Desormeaux and Nicholas Broussard. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Acadiana Model Power Boat Association, employees at Breaux Brothers and Breaux Bay Craft. Boats were Harolds life. His early years started with driving airboats, then a thirty-one year career at Breaux Bay Craft as a carpenter, then on to Breaux Brothers for twelve years until retirement. His workmanship was always of the highest quality and he took pride in his work. If youre going to do something, do it right was his motto, along with theres no such thing as cant. Many people in Loreauville knew he built model boats, but what many didnt know is that Harold was the creator of the Cajun Bullet Hydro, an icon, known throughout the model boating world today as one of the finest quality and fastest boats on the market. His first boat he sold went all the way to Australia, then others to places like China, Japan, the Bahamas, Canada and many more places around the globe. Many records have been set and many races won both by him and the countless people who own his boats. He was Treasurer of the Acadiana Model Power Boat Association, which he was a member for over twenty years and was instrumental in the clubs development into what it is today. To some in the boating community he was, and always will be a legend. That was because he built the best, and that came from putting his all into everything he did. If theres a big pond in heaven, Harold will be there, running a Cajun Bullet Hydro in it. Harold was also quite the pool player. During the eighties, he beat world trick shot artist Paul Gurnie, played against Minnesota Fats, and went to Las Vegas to play in the nationals and has won well over two hundred trophies in his lifetime. The Broussard family would like to express our sincerest thanks to everyone who joined us in our sorrow, who said kind words or brought food, or just thought about Harold and us.
