Goldie Thibodeaux Bonin

Loreauville- Memorial services will be conducted for Mrs. Leroy Bonin, the former Goldie Thibodeaux, age 75, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at1:00PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 8:00AM until service time.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Bonin passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at 10:40AM in a local hospital. Goldie worked as a bench chemist at Vida, Iberia Co-Op and Cajun Sugar Mills. She retired from real estate as a top selling and listing agent of many years. Goldie dedicated herself to taking care of others during times of illness. Her favorite past times included gardening, sewing and flower arranging. She loved making family birthdays memorable by hosting a special birthday dinners. Goldies favorite love of all was, spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, her brothers, sister and other family members.


Survivors include her husband, Leroy J. Bonin of Loreauville, her son, Johnny Bonin and wife Vicky of New Iberia; her daughters, Janell B. Broussard and husband Gaston of New Iberia; and Susan B. Rodriguez and husband Sherman of Loreauville; her grandchildren, Steven Rodriguez, Tiffany Gauthier and husband Morgan, Shelby Broussard, Nicholas Bonin, and Brad Bonin, one brother, Ray Allen Thibodeaux and companion Peggy of St. Martinville; one sister, Shirley Chris T. Rouly and husband Eugene of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Joseph Thibodeaux and Odile Vincent Thibodeaux, and her brother, Tommy James Thibodeaux.
