Jacques O. Stevens, Jr.

Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Jacques O. T-Jacques Stevens, 41, on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Deacon Chris Doumit officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday in the funeral home at 6:30 PM.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Stevens died on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 9:24 PM in New Iberia. Jacques was a hardworking, loving person and enjoyed family time. He loved to hunt, fish and go frogging.

He is survived by his sisters, Debra Stevens, Linda Gary, Cindy Landry and Elizabeth Liz Stevens all of Jeanerette; his brothers, James Stevens of Lydia and Luke Stevens of Avery Island; his step children, David, Melissa, and Tiffany Belanger , Chelise and Caleb Segura and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jacques O. Stevens, Sr.; his mother, Hazel Gardemal Stevens; his paternal grandparents, Mr.& Mrs. Clophus Stevens and his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Marcel Gardemal.

Pallbearers will be David J. Landry, Joshua J. Stevens, Danry Baudoin, Jr., Jason LeBlanc, Ted Derise, II and Paul Copp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler LeBlanc, Blake Stevens, Gordon Landry, Jr., James Stevens and Luke Stevens.
