A native of Acadia Parish and longtime resident of New Iberia, Gil was a sales representative for Entex retiring after 44 years of service. He loved music and was an avid musician who played bass guitar with many bands in south Louisiana. He was a member of the Catholic High Panther Club and volunteered for many of their activities. Mr. LeJeune also loved attending all sporting events that his children and grandchildren participated in. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Oubre LeJeune of New Iberia; three sons, Bobby Gil LeJeune and wife Debbie of Penole, California, Marty LeJeune and wife Rachele and Kenny LeJeune and wife Ronnie all of New Iberia; three daughters, Christy and Cindy Cinoo LeJeune both of New Iberia and Wendy LeJeune Blewett and husband Moss of Apex, North Carolina; grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Zack, Brodie, Linzee, Hallie, Robert III and Danielle LeJeune and Grace Blewett; a great grandchild Bailey Tucker and close family friends, Marcia Guest and Drew Deerinwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Ida Hebert LeJeune and five sisters, Gertie Foreman, Lorraine LaCasse, Sally Konnerth, Jackie Doucet and Ruth Daigle.
Pallbearers will be Kenny, Marty, Bobby Gil, Zack and Brodie LeJeune and Moss Blewett.
