Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 20, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Home will reopen on Friday May 21, 2010 from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A Native of Catahoula and a resident of Loreauville, Mr. Borel Passed away at 2:00 AM Tuesday May 18, 2010 at his residence with his family at his side.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 67 years Edia Bourque Borel of Loreauville, his son: Harry Borel and wife Terry of New Iberia, two daughters: Barbara Sonnier and husband Robert , Edia (Tootie) Broussard and husband Ronnie of Loreauville. Eight grandchildren: Shari and Nicole Borel, Paul Wayne and Kevin Durio, Patches and Doral Sonnier, Donavan and Jamie Broussard. Sixteen Great Grandchildren. Three sisters: Orelia Bijeaux, Edith Theriot of Breaux Bridge, Mary Albert of Catahoula, Two Brothers: Septhem and Philip Borel of Catahoula.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Laurent Borel and Clara Theriot Borel, Grandson: Ron Aaron Sonnier, Three sisters: Connie Dugas, Elimre Borel and Olivia Borel, Five brothers: Alamica, Joseph, Lawrence, Marcel, and Clovis Borel.

Pallbearers will be: Harry Borel, Donavan Broussard, Patches Sonnier, Kevin Durio, Kevin Salsman, Paul Wayne Durio.

Honary Pallbearers will be: Robert Sonnier, Ronnie Broussard, Scott Ransonet, Danna Labit, Kevin LaBeau and Danny Miller.
