Abbeville " Funeral Services for Mrs. Maurice Meaux, the former Dorothy Dot Mary Beaudeaux, 74, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A native of Edgerly and resident of Abbeville, Dot passed away at 7:54AM on Monday, March 1, 2010 at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. Dot devoted her life to raising her children, grandchildren and some great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Maurice Meaux of Abbeville; her children, Ronald J. Meaux of Abbeville, Carolyn Meaux of Kaplan, Maurice Mac Meaux, Jr. and wife Berneice of Abbeville, and Sandra Bourque and husband Charles of Kaplan; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Jane Saucier of Sulphur, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sandress and Eula LeBouef Beaudeaux; her daughters, Louanna Butts Meaux and Debra Louise Meaux; her brother, Paul Beaudeaux; and her sister, Sara Beaudeaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Maurice Mac Meaux, Jr., Ronald J. Meaux, Jeremiah Soriez, David Meaux, Kane Meaux and Roddy Meaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Bourque, Blade Thomas, Brett Hebert, Matthew Bailey Fontenot, Kelby Dean Meaux, Jareth Meaux, Tyler Benoit and Dane Bertrand.
