New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Ulysse LeBlanc , the former Edith Morris, 87, on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Donovan Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia at 8:00 AM until services with a rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM by Deacon Theo Landry. A native of Bellview, LA, she was a longtime resident of Weeks Island before moving to Patoutville. Her hobbies were watching and feeding birds and loved all animals. She is survived by her daughter, Karen LeBlanc of Patoutville; her sister-in-law, Bernadette Morris of Lydia and numersous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysse LeBlanc; her parents John and Felecie Guillotte Morris; her sisters, Eunice Darcey, Stella Bodin, Mary Duval, Theresa Jolet and Eula Mae Slakowitz; her brothers, A. J. Morris, Lawless Morris, Sr., Archie Morris, Sr. and Harold Teca Morris. Pallbearers will be Terry Duval, Kevin Duval, Joey Lopez, Ronald Morris, Brett thibodeaux and Donald Simon. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff t Consolata Nursing Home in New Iberia. The family would like to thank her very special friend Alberta Villery who called her everyday, her two very special nieces Maureen Rogers and Clara Landry, her sister-in-law Mrs. Bernadette Morris, Carmen Morris, her wounderful neighbors who always came to her assistance, Dr. Mike Alvarez and his office staff for 26 years of wounderful care, the staff at Consolata Nursing Home and Iberia Medical Center, Father Labbe, Father Stemmans and Father Robitalle, her St. Nicholas Church Parish family and the homebound Eucharistic Ministers and her sitter Gloria Johnson.
