Donald Richard

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Richard died on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 4:55 AM in a New Iberia hospital. He loved playing pool, drawing and painting, wood burning and art and collecting antiques. He was very spiritual, loved cooking and being with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph Hilton Richard and Barbara Romero Richard of New Iberia; his sons, Drake Anthony Richard, Del Richard and his wife Rachel all of New Iberia, Corey Joseph Richard of Seymour, TN and Brad Patrick Richard and his wife Sariana of Ft. Monroe, VA; his daughter, Carli Richard of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Brandon Patrick Richard of New Orleans, Devon Richard of New Iberia and Bailey Richard of Seymour, TN; his brothers, David Richard and his wife Charlotte and Mark Richard all of New Iberia; his sisters, Sally Richard Romero and her husband Randal and Tina Richard Bourque all of New Iberia; his fiancee Gayle Bourque and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Richard was preceded in death by hispaternal grandparents, Joseph D. and EolaRichard; maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Levie Gachassin; andgrandfather Adet Romero.

Pallbearers will be Del Richard, Drake Richard, David Richard, Randal Romero, Sean Romero, Sr. and Kyle Romero.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Lee Bourque, Devon Richard, Sean Romero, Jr. and Evrand Romero.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
