Adam Winner Friou

September 10, 1931 — May 3, 2010

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Adam Winner Friou, Age 78, at 11:00AM Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday May 4, 2010 from 9:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. Military graveside services will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1982 honor guard.

A native of Delcambre and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Friou died Monday May 3, 2010 at 4:10AM in a New Iberia health care facility. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict having served in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the V.F.W Post 1982 and the American Legion.

Survivors include his children, Michael Friou and wife Sheila and Albert Friou, William Friou, and John Wayne Friou and wife Tina all of New Iberia, Kenneth Friou and wife Brenda of St. Martinville and RenaPoirrier and husband Johnny of Bull Island, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Pontiff Friou; parents, Odressie and Electa Bouillion Friou; one brother, Wilton Friou and two grandsons, T Mike Friou and Dennis Allen Carlson Davis.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Kenny, Scotty and John Wayne Friou, Bill Albert Friou, Jr., Johnny and Paul J.Poirrier and Rena Friou Poirrier.
