Adley Fitch Mcleod

A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. McLeod died Sunday May 23, 2010 at 12:10AM at her daughters residence in Charenton. She was owner of Macs Drive Inn for 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting, doing needlepoint work and making crafts for her family.

Survivors include her children, Bunice M. Smith and husband Dale of Charenton, Carl B. McLeod III of Jeanerette and Olen R. McLeod, Sr. and wife Carla of Franklin; grandchildren, Dale Smith Jr. of New Iberia, Dusty Smith of Charenton, Olen McLeod Jr. and Ariel McLeod both of Lafayette, Gage and Duncan McLeod both of Franklin and a sister, Shirley F. Duhon of Jeanerette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Mac McLeod; parents, Rillius and Aminthe Bonin Fitch; a granddaughter, Kiley Smith; three sisters, Therese F. Romero, Daisy Broussard Guillotte and Corinne Broussard Lancon and six brothers, Margis Bolo , Rillius Black , J.C. Shorty , Jimmie W., Sylvester and Walter Goat Fitch.

Pallbearers will be Carl III, Olen Sr., Olen Jr., Gage, Duncan and Ariel McLeod, Dale Smith Jr. and Dusty Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Smith Sr., Howard Duhon, Jr., Jayc and Michael Fitch and Troy Bourgeois.
