Loving Sister and Aunt Loreauville " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Joseph Vincent Broussard the former Irene Louviere, Age 86, at 11:00AM Monday June 15, 2009 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Paul Onugebe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday June 14, 2009 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00AM until service time. The musical selections Amazing Grace and Old Rugged Cross will played and sung by Gannon Dooley. A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville Mrs. Broussard died Friday June 12, 2009 at 7:55PM in a Lafayette hospital. She was a nurse and religion teacher for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Her hobbies included bowling, fishing and playing pokeno. She also loved gardening. Survivors include her brothers, Herman Louviere and wife Jean and Merlin Louviere and wife Shirley both of St. Martinville, William Louviere and friend Alberta Theriot of Erath and Frank Louviere and friend Vanola Bouillion of Loreauville; one sister, Margaret Lynn L. Keith and husband Steve of Lafayette; 4 nieces, 5 nephews and numerous God Children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vincent Broussard; her parents, Simon and Rose Decuir Louviere; two sisters, Thelma and Beverly Louviere and two sisters in law, Hazel Frioux Louviere and Inez Romero Louviere. Pallbearers will be Frank, William, Herman and Sidney Louviere, Steve Keith and Irvin Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Merlin and Neil Louviere, Dennis, Stephen and Derek Keith.
