Henrietta Creigton Delahoussaye

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Ophe Delahoussaye, the former Henrietta Creighton, age 95, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 8:30AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00AM. . Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Delahoussaye passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 12:35PM in a local hospital. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son, Elmo Delahoussaye and wife Ethel of New Iberia; her daughters, Rosa D. Lancon and husband Louis and Elgine D. Norris, all of New Iberia; brothers, Charles Creighton and George Creighton, both of New Iberia; sisters, Melba Broussard of Milton; Lillian Perot of Lafayette; Mary Jane Langlinais of Arnaudville; Susie Betterly of Canada; and Bella Romero of Arnaudville;10 grandchildren,30 great-grandchildren and30 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Delahoussaye was preceded in death by her husband, Ophe Delahoussaye, her parents, Emile Creighton and Lucie Anna Broussard Creighton, brother, Michael Creighton, sister, Beulah Delahoussaye,son-in-law, Donald Ray Norris,grandchildren, Dyna Lancon, Glenda Guillot and great-granchild, Jason Sargent and Ethan Thomas Purdy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Segura, Gene Purdy, Thomas Purdy, Skylar Dore, Patrick Delahoussaye and Jeremie Landry.
