Douglas "Dougie" Ireland

New Iberia- A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:00PM at Pop-A-Top Lounge, for Mr. Douglas Dougie John Ireland, Sr. age 66.

A native of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Ireland passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:35PM at his residence. Dougie loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed drinking beer at Pop-A-Top Lounge. He retired with Local 4 United Engineers after 35 years of service. Mr. Ireland was a member of V.F.W. Post #03840 Greenland, New Hampshire.

Survivors include his wife Betty Skinner Ireland of Youngsville; his daughter, Linda Ireland Tenney and husband Mark of New Iberia; his son, Douglas Ireland, Jr. of Youngsville; his brothers, Charles Ireland, Jr. of Greenland, NH; George Ireland of Rye, NH; and Lawrence Ireland of York Beach, Maine; and his grandchildren, Markie and Cheyenne Tenney, both of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ireland, Sr. and Dorothy May Brown Ireland.
