Abbeville " Funeral Services for Anna Tootsie Garber DiCarlo, 86, will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Abbeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. DiCarlo a native of Milton and a resident of Abbeville died at 12:40PM on Friday, April 24, 2009 at her residence. She retired from the City of Abbevilles Tax Department after over 33 years of service. She is survived by a son, Robert Earl DiCarlo of Youngsville; a daughter, Connie DiCarlo Smith and her husband H. D. of Carencro; a daughter-in-law, Joan DiCarlo of Houston, TX; two brothers, Wilson Garber of Youngsville, and Gene Garber and his wife Earlene of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Jennifer D. Hardin and her husband Andrew, Debra D. Herring and her husband Matthew, and Michael DiCarlo all of Houston, TX, Lisha Smith Hawkins and her husband Keith of Lafayette, Damon Smith and his wife Erinn of Arnaudville, LA, Sara DiCarlo of Baton Rouge, LA, Aimee Broussard of Youngsville, and Victoria DiCarlo of New Orleans; and eight great grandchildren, Kathryn Hardin and Owen Herring both of Houston, TX, Caroline Hawkins and William Hawkins both of Lafayette, Austin DiCarlo and Paige DiCarlo both of Baton Rouge, LA, Beau Broussard and Brett Broussard both of Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. DiCarlo, Jr.; her parents Alexander and Euphime Savoy Garber; a son, J.H. Buddy DiCarlo, III, a brother, Allen Garber; and a sister, Alma G. Broussard. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael DiCarlo, Damon Smith, Keith Hawkins, Matthew Herring, Patrick Garber, and Andrew Hardin.
