Barbara O'Banion Jones

December 14, 1942 — April 25, 2009

Lafayette " Funeral Services for Barbara Jones, the former Barbara OBanion, 66, will be held on Tuesday; April 28, 2009 at Hargis Baptist Church of Hargis, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 10:30AM until the time of Services. Interment will follow at the Hargis Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jones, a native of Colfax, and a resident of Youngsville, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at a local Lafayette Hospital. Mrs. Jones was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, who loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies were arts and crafts. She is survived by two sons, Gregory Ellis Jones of Lafayette and Ronald Glen Jones of New Orleans; a daughter, Kimberly Arceneaux and her husband Terry of Youngsville; a sister, Jimmie Lane Jackson of Verda; and four grandchildren, Gregory Ellis Jones II of Lafayette, Brittany Arceneaux, Brooklyn Arceneaux, and Brenton Arceneaux of Youngsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis W. Jones; and her parents, Ray OBanion and Charltie Beebe OBanion. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Lafayette General Hospital.
