Nghi Thi Nguyen

Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Nghi Thi Nguyen, 91, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Nguyen Nguyen, Fr. Vu Lam, Fr. Vu Hien, and Fr. Thomas Nguyen officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 thru Friday, April 24, 2009 from 5:30PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A Native of Kien An, North Vietnam and a resident of Abbeville Mrs. Nguyen died at 7:00AM on Monday, April 20, 2009 at a local nursing home. She was known for her love to garden. She is survived by two sons, Doan Nguyen and Mui Nguyen both of Oklahoma City, OK; four daughters, Phuong Nguyen of New Orleans, Sen Nguyen of Abbeville, Nhai Nguyen of Houston, TX, and Nhu Nguyen of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Phe Nguyen of California and Bia Nguyen of Houston, TX; two sisters, Khuyen Nguyen of San Jose, CA and Nhan Nguyen of Australia; thirty-five grandchildren; and thirty-eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truc Nguyen; her parents, Vuoc Van Nguyen and Den Thi Nguyen; a brother, Ngoi Nguyen; a sister, Kheo Nguyen; and four grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337) 893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
