Lula Belle Claire "Lulu" Labauve Louviere

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. R.D. Louviere the former Lula Belle Claire LuLu LaBauve Age 96, at 10:00AM Saturday June 19, 2010 at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday June 18, 2010 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Lake Charles and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Louviere died Monday June 14, 2010 at 12:55PM at Belle Teche Nursing Center.

Mrs. Louviere worked as a cashier for Abdallas for 34 years. In 1984 she received the Pink Lady of the year award from Dauterive hospital. She was also a member of the 3 ^rd order of Mt. Carmel since 1954. She assisted the St. Peters Catholic Church administrative voluntary work force on monthly projects for many years.

She is survived by her nephew and adopted son, Rodney Butch Ashworth and wife Deanna of Prairieville; grandchildren, Tiffany Ashworth Moisan and husband John and Trina Ashworth Daniel and husband Paul and her great grandchildren, Elijah, Andrew and Kayla Daniel and Katherine Lin and Alyssa An Moisan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Louviere; parents, Armand and Mabel Bourque LaBauve; brothers, Elton, Cramer Tee , Rudy and Holcomb LaBauve and sisters, Vertis Betty LaBauve, Evelyn LaBauve, Lurline L. Berard and Faye Marie L. Ashworth.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Butch Ashworth, Paul Daniel, John Moisan, Galen LaBauve, Jeff LaBauve and Dwight LaBauve.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart Hayes and David Lasseigne.
