Carol Richard Courville

A native of Church Point and longtime resident of New Iberia, Carol died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 10:15 AM at her residence in New Iberia after a lengthy battle with cancer. She and Doug had been married for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Her greatest joy in life was watching her grandsons play ball and camping with them. Carol also loved gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Courville of New Iberia; children, Christina C. Gaspard and husband Doug of Lydia and Kevin Courville of New Iberia; grandsons, Austin and Hunter Charlie Gaspard both Lydia and her loving pet, Baby Girl Sophie.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Ruby Prejean Richard.

Pallbearers were Doug, Austin and Hunter Charlie Gaspard, Tommy Edwards and Kevin and George Courville.

The family would especially like to thank Doctors, Carl Ditch, David Rinaldi and Masoud Yazdi and their staff for their wonderful care, Sydney Joe LeBlanc of all the love and support in her final days and AAA Hospice.
