A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Carline died at 4:20AM in a local hospital. Many years ago, Mr. Carline was a commercial fisherman; he then worked for Albania Sugar Mill and then for J&L until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. At 97 years old, he planted an orange tree and was waiting for it to bear fruit. He had a lot of faith.
Survivors include his son, Charles Carline and wife Nora of Jeanerette, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Verret Carline; parents, Peter M. Carline and Elizabeth Boyce Carline; daughters, Carolyn Rodrigue and Inez Denoux, a great grandson, Benjamin McLean and 11 brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Brian, Jamie, Travis, Troy, and Brandon Carline.
Honorary pallbearers will be Drake Savoy and Brad LeBouef.
