Jeanerette " Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date for Tex Perez, Age 63, who died Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 4:45PM in a Broussard health care facility. A native and longtime resident of Jeanerette and current resident of Broussard, Tex was a Construction Superintendant for M.D. Descant Contractors. Survivors include his children, Katrina Darden of Charenton, Kasey Leigh Perez of Pineville and Evan Perez of Sunset; brothers, Robert Perez, Jr. of Lafayette and Paul Perez of Jeanerette; sisters, Elma Ann Sonnier and Lori Horn both of New Iberia, Marie Derouen of Mesa Arizona, Elizabeth Lancon, Brenda Derouen, Janice Bourgeois and Abby Perez all of Jeanerette and Lydia Dabney of Dale city, Virginia and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Perez Sr. and Antoinette Duhon Perez. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La. (337)369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
