Hazel P. Stratton

A native of Lafayette and resident of Broussard, Mrs. Stratton died on May 6, 2009 at Lafayette General Hospital.

She loved spending time with her family, sharing good times with her friends and traveling with her husband. Hazel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. She touched the hearts of everyone that she knew. Her love and unique, unforgettable laugh will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Fred Stratton, a native of Lake Charles and resident of Broussard; five children, Lauri Dupuis and her husband Kim Dupuis of Youngsville, Fred Stratton Jr. and his wife Sandra Stratton of Winder, Georgia, Traci Guidry and her husband Steven Guidry of Youngsville, Kerri Stratton of Lafayette, Marti Gallet and her husband Brian Gallet of Youngsville and her grandchildren, Chandler and Paige Dupuis, Kyle and Kameron Guidry, Tylere Stratton, and Addison and Aubrey Gallet; a brother, Ronald Patin and his wife Ann Patin of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilda and Nutley Patin.

Pallbearers will be Ronald "Day" Juneau, Tommy "Blackie" Breaux, Russell Broussard, Terry Fontenot, Jerry Riche, and Edmund "Speedy" LeBlanc. Honary Pallbearer will be Murray "Tim" Boudreaux.
