Doris Borel Prince

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. U.J. Prince, the former Doris Borel, age 80. Thursday March 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Cormier officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday March 24, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume Thursday March 25, 2010 from 8:00 AM until services. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. A native of Glencoe and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Prince passed away Monday March 22, 2010 at 7:11 AM in a New Iberia Health Care Facility. She was a volunteer worker at Consolata Nursing Home for 23 years, and a member of the Lydia United Methodist Church, she loved baking cakes and cooking sea food. Survivors include her Daughter: Gwen P. Jolet and her husband Patrick of Broussard, Son: Darryl J. Prince and his wife Becky of Lydia, Brother: Douglas C. Borel of Conway, AR, 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her Husband: U.J. Prince, parents: Sidney J. Borel, Sr. and Marie Landry Borel, Sons: Terry W. Prince, Wayne W. Prince, Brothers: Loveless W. Borel, Arthur D. Borel, Shelton A. Borel and Sidney J. Borel, Jr. Sister: Roberta B. Winters. Serving as pallbearers will be Friends and Family. The family would like to thank the Staff of Belle Teche Nursing & Rehabilition Center, Heart of Hospice and FMC Medical Center of New Iberia.
