Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Harry Hulin the former Sadie Bernard, 80, will be held at 4:00PM on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with recitation of the rosary 5:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Erath Mrs. Sadie died at 12:45AM on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was known by the community as a seamstress; a member of, The Catholic Daughters and Ladies Alter Society, LeBlanc Rosary Group, Demitasse Club, a former lector at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and a community sewing club. She also was a former Elections Commissioner. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Hulin of Erath; two grandsons, Murphy Hulin of Birmingham, AL and Colby Hulin of Erath; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry I. Hulin; her parents John and Lona Broussard Bernard; and a brother, Felix Urban Bill Bernard. Serving as pallbearers will be friends and members of the family. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
