Rita Romero Broussard

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Rita Romero Broussard, age 84, at 10:00 AM Saturday May 9, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday May 8, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Saturday May 9, 2009 from 8:00 AM until services.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Broussard died Friday May 8, 2009 at 5:10 AM in a New Iberia Health Care Facility.

Mrs. Broussard was owner and operator of Freezo #3 on East Main Street in New Iberia for 10 years.

Survivors include her children: Bobby Broussard and his wife Chris of New Iberia, Raymond Broussard and his wife Sandra of Duson, Ricky Broussard and his wife Rose of New Iberia, Richard Broussard of New Iberia, 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, Brother: Paul Romero and his wife Merlene of Coteau, Sister: Louella Blondie Comeaux of Youngsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Kosute Broussard, Parents: Willie and Annaise Boullion Romero, Brothers: Wilbert Romero, Wilson Romero, Chester Romero, Sisters: Hazel Thibodeaux, Lillian Romero.

Pallbearers will be: Bobby Broussard, Donnie Broussard, Ricky Broussard, Billy Bass, Paul Romero, Raymond Broussard.
