Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Alvin Paul Leleux, 73, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Kaplan, with Fr. David Broussard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Mausoleum. A native of Kaplan and a resident of Maurice, Alvin passed away at 9:55PM on Monday, May 31, 2010 at his residence. Alvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who dearly loved spending time with his family. Mr. Leleux was a self-employed barber for thirty-five years in the City of Kaplan. Mr. Leleux served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. He is survived by his wife, Rita Hollier Leleux of Maurice; two sons, Marvin J. Leleux and his wife Mona, and Kevin P. Leleux and his wife Donna both of Maurice; two granddaughters Erica Baxley and her husband Brandon of Martin, Louisiana and Ashley Leleux of Maurice; two grandsons, Travis Leleux and his wife Elizabeth of Lafayette, and Nathan Leleux of Maurice; two brothers Ray Leleux and his wife Linda and Wilfred Leleux all of Bridge City, Texas; and one sister, Viola Watson of Orange, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Emilda Meaux Leleux, and grandson Johnathon Leleux. Serving as pallbearers will be Marvin Leleux, Kevin Leleux, Travis Leleux, Brandon Baxley, Nathan Leleux, Ray Leleux, Christopher Broussard, and Darrin Roddy.
