Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Oswald P. Moose Buteaux, the former Rebecca Becky Mayer, 64 on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Erin Oliver officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Buteaux died on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 9:45 PM upon arrival at a New Iberia hospital. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; sewing, crafts, singing and Saints and LSU Football. She also loved her pet dog, Precious. She was a member of McGowen Memorial Methodist Church and was a member of the choir. She is survived by her husband, Oswald P. Moose Buteaux of Jeanerette; her mother, Shirley Badeaux Jeffery of Jeanerette; her step-father, Daniel Jeffery of Jeanerette; her daughters, Christina B. Vilcan and her husband Robert of Charenton, Rebecca B. Savoie and her husband Lawless, Jr. and Wanda B. Guillotte and her fiance Rusty Pugh all of Jeanerette; her sons, Oswald P. Boz Buteaux, Jr., Happy A. Buteaux and his wife Charlsie Sudi and Nicholas J. Buteaux all of Jeanerette; her sister, Rosalie Migues and her husband Arthur of Jeanerette; her brothers, Curtis Buddy Mayer and his wife Susan of New Iberia, Carl Mayer and his wife Sheryl of Rayne and Gordon Mayer of Clearwater, CA; her grandchildren, Holly Pillaro and her fiance Caleb Culter of Lafayette, Gabrielle Pillaro of Franklin, Katie Vilcan and Amanda Vilcan both of Charenton, Joshua Savoie and Zackery Savoie both of Jeanerette, Victoria N. Guillotte and her fianc Jared Morris of Monroe, Autumn Guillotte, Stephen Guillotte, Craighton Buteaux and Collin Buteaux all of Jeanerette; her brother-in-law, Leonard Bot Buteaux and his wife Lou of Jeanerette and numerous nieces and nephews.
