Earth " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lawless Simon, the former Eugenia NeNe Broussard, 97 will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Broussard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 1:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native and resident of Erath, Mrs. Simon died at 11:05AM on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at an Abbeville Hospital. She was known in the community for sitting with people in need. She is survived by a son, Donald Simon and his wife Margie of Erath; two grandchildren, Debra Richard and her husband Benny and Donna Brumfield and her husband Keith; four great grandchildren, Benjie Richard, Brandy Richard, Brittany Richard, and Gina Manka; and a great great grandchild, Lenae Manka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawless Connell Simon; her parents, Ovide and Perpetue Guidry Broussard; a son, Russell Simon; two brothers, Octa Broussard and Otis Broussard; two sisters, Etta Stoutes and Dilta Salts. Serving as pallbearers will be Benny Richard, Keith Brumfield, Wally Peltier, James LeBlanc, Sterling Broussard, and Roger Simon. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
