David Lee Bussas

New Iberia - A private memorial service for Mr. David Lee Bussas, 71, will be held at a later date. He passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at a Lafayette hospital. David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Dee Bussas of New Iberia; his sons, Brian Bussas and wife Melinda of Coteau and Kevin Bussas of Youngsville; his daughters, Cheryl Huval of Youngsville and Kristy Duplechin and husband Mike of Broussard; his grandchildren, Ryan Huval and wife Beth, Amber Huval, and Megan Huval, all of Youngsville, Kyle Bussas and Lindsey Bussas, both of Coteau, Jacob Duplechin and Raeley Duplechin, both of Broussard; and his great-grandchildren, Alex and Trevor, both of Youngsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Wanda Taucher Bussas; one brother, Garth Ferner; and two sisters, Pauline Kauffman and Dorothy Rystedth.
