Youngsville - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, for Mr. Dalton Joseph Langlinais, 97, who passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 at his residence. Entombment will be in St. Anne Mausoleum in Youngsville. Reverend Thomas Jason Mouton, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville will be celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Rena Decou Langlinais; daughter, Betty L. Comb and her husband, Darrel of Breaux Bridge; son, Patrick Langlinais and his wife Nancy of Youngsville; two sisters, Olga Toups of Abbeville and Ursule Giebelstein of Pasadena, TX; three grandsons, Rene Comb and his fiance Davilynn of Breaux Bridge, Andre Comb and his wife, Amanda of St. Martinville and Jacques Comb of Parks; three step-granddaughters, Lisa Cormier, Christine Richard and Jill Bernard all of Youngsville; seven step great-grandchildren; two step great great-grandchildren; several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilles and Anna LeBlanc Langlinais; one brother, Francis Langlinais and two sisters, Irma and Agnes Langlinais. A native and lifelong resident of Youngsville Mr. Langlinais was a dairy farmer and also worked for Southern Structures of Lafayette, LA. Pallbearers will be Patrick Langlinais, Darrel Comb, Rene Comb, Andre Comb, Jacques Comb and James Langlinais. Honorary pallbearer will be Darrell Trahan. The family is requesting that visitation be observed at David Funeral Home of Youngsville on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 3 p.m. until time of services on Thursday, July 15, 2010. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Youngsville.
