Loving Mother and Grandmother

St. Martinville- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Noah Hebert, the former Lou Dugas, age 92, Sunday June 6, 2010 at 3:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia with Deacon Eugene Waguespack officiating. . Paul Melancon, vocalist, accompanied by Karen Guidry, organist, will sing for the services. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery in St. Martinville. Visitation will be Sunday June 6, 2010 from 1:00PM until the time of service.

A native of Parks and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at 12:30AMat her residence. Lou was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles and loved to dance.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Hebert of New Iberia; daughters, Lisa Barnes and husband John J. Barnes, Jr. of Denham Springs; and Denise Mandella of Parks; grandchildren, Tony Mandella, Ben Barnes and Andrew Barnes, and her loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hebert was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Hebert (member of the Louisiana Six Orchestra), her parents, Benjamin Dugas and Inez Thibodeaux Dugas, sons, Wayne Hebert and Joseph Hebert, daughter, Stephanie Hebert, grandson, John J. Barnes III and a brother, Howard J. Dugas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Barnes, Ben Barnes, John J. Barnes, Jr., Michael Dugas, George Reeves, Blaine Hebert and Tony Mandella.
