Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM for Nemeze Mez Bernard Richard, 97, on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Keith Landry officiating. Visitation will begin on Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Monday, April 5, 2010 from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A native of Broussard and resident of Youngsville, Nemeze passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Ted Richard and wife Sue of Youngsville. Survivors also include several nephews and nieces: Sharon Bernard and her children, Mark and Kim Bernard, David and Allison Bernard, and Vickie and Jake Spangler; grand nieces and nephews, Grace Bernard, Matthew Bernard, Samuel Bernard, Nathan Bernard, Kate Bernard and Luke Spangler. Other nieces and nephews include Terry Richard, Brenda Guilbeau and Eris Leblanc. She has one surviving sister-in-law, Beverly Richard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; her nephew, Donald Bernard; her parents, Remie and Edmae Bernard; one sister, Clothilde Bernard; and six brothers, Blaise, Laurent, Willis, Ronald, Clement and Remie, Jr. The family would like to extend special thanks to her wonderful caretaker and friend, May Grace Duhon, as well as her life-long friends, Doris Langlinais and the late Pauline Langlinais, for their loving, devoted friendship. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Bernard, David Bernard, Jake Spangler, Terry Richard, Trent Vincent and Bubba Montesano. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Patin and Mike Keating.
