Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Clelie Clay Barrilleaux Delcambre Perry, Age 98, at 2:00PM Wednesday April 7, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday April 6, 2010 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Carencro and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Perry died Friday April 2, 2010 at 5:45PM at her daughters residence in Jeanerette. She enjoyed and loved life, family gatherings, cooking and dancing. She also liked Barbeques, crawfish and crab boils. She would travel with her large pot for cooking rice dressing and fritters. She also made doll clothes. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Heart of Hospice for their loving care. Survivors include her children, Elsie Pope, Jean Dooley and Samuel Perry Sr. and wife Ann all of Jeanerette, Lucy Droddy and husband Durelwood of Morgan City, Eldridge Delcambre of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Kenneth Delcambre and wife Judy of NewIberia; three nephews, Leonard Verret of Jeanerette; Hamilton Verret, Jr. of Franklin and Daniel Verret of Opelousas; one niece, Leona Babin of New Iberia; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and all her beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Amelius Delcambre; second husband, Johnny Perry; her parents, Clemire and Alice Porche Barrilleaux; a son, James Delcambre; two grandsons, Tony Pope, Jr and Boyd Delcambre; two sisters, Martha Babin and Hortense Verret; two nephews, Millard and Harrison Babin and a great nephew Euclide Babin.
