Abbeville - Services will be held for Beulah Meaux, age 81, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville on Tuesday, April 6 at 2:00 PM celebrated by Father Kenneth Mayne and Father Chester Arceneaux. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery immediately following services. Relatives and friends are welcome at Davids Funeral Home in Abbeville for visitation on Monday, April 5 from 4:00-9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, April 6 from 8:00 AM until the time of service. Mrs. Meaux who died at home on April 4, 2010 was born May 11, 1928 in Erath. She lived most of her life in Abbeville, where she and her husband owned and operated Eustis Meauxs Grocery until retiring in 1986. In her spare time, she loved gardening and playing bingo as well as cooking for her family. Beulah was a parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville. Beulah is survived by her husband of 65 years, Eustis Meaux of Abbeville, as well as her children Glenda Lewis and husband Glenn of San Antonio, TX; Ray Meaux and wife Elsie of Lafayette; Stanley Shooky Meaux and wife Donnie of Abbeville; Tony Meaux and wife Diane of Abbeville; Arnold Wayne Meaux and wife Rachel of Abbeville; and Angela Hebert and husband Joseph of Maurice. She is also survived by her brother, Leo Perry of Houston, TX. and sister Lucy Lormand of Abbeville. Beulah was lovingly known as Granny to her 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Primeaux, mother Velia Guilbeaux, and stepfather Caesar Guilbeaux of Abbeville. Pallbearers will be Glenn Lewis, Joey Hebert, Shaun Lewis, Eric Meaux, Brock Meaux, and Joshua Meaux. Honorary Pallbearers are Andrea Romig, Lisa Soileau, Kerri Haydel, Carmen Miller, Lacey Meaux, Bridget Meaux , Alana Meaux, Lauren Hebert, and Emily Hebert.
