Abbeville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 19,2010 in the David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville, for Shirley M. Mire, 72, who passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at her daughters residence in Arnaudville. Deacon Jim Davis with Hospice of Acadiana will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow the service in the Bancker Cemetery. A native of Arnaudville and a longtime resident of Bancker Mrs. Mire was the daughter of Willie and Emelia Mouton Angelle . Shirley enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds, taking care of her dog Suzzie and spending time with all of her family. She is survived by her two sons,Hubert Joseph Mire, Jr. of Henry and Alfred Willie Mire and his fiancee Jennifer McIntyre of Port Allen; three daughters, Margaret Domingue of Scott, Robin Watson of Arnaudville, Sheila Lemaire and her husband Allen of Maurice; five grandsons Alfred Willie Mire, II, Zack Mire, Armaund Grossie and his wife Shawna, Lionel Langley, Larry Joe Bell and his wife Erin; four granddaughters, Holley Mire, Mitsy Grossie , Shanna Lemaire and Toshia Loignon Martin and her husband Tucker; five great-grandchildren, Kristy, Kayla, Paige, Brailyn and Kameron; two sisters, Josie Boudreaux, Patsy Meche and her husband Jim; two brothers, John Carroll Angelle and Honore Angelle and his wife Mary Ann. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert J. Mire, Sr.; son, Brian Keith Mire; parents; sister, Emiline Duhon; brother, Henry Angelle; father-in-law Eduse Mire and mother-in-law, Marguette Richard Mire. The family requests that visiting hours be observed, Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Alfred Mire, Willie Mire, Hubert Mire, Zack Mire, Allen Lemaire and Larry Joe Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Lionel Langley, Armaund Grossie, John Carroll Angelle and Honore Angelle.
