Loretta Maturin Romero

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Roosevelt J. Romero the former Loretta Maturin, age 85, at 11:00 AM Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Arnaud officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday February 23, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from February 24, 2010 from 8:00 AM until service time.

Mrs. Romero died Monday February 22, 2010 at 9:02 AM in a New Iberia Health Care Facility. She was a native and resident of New Iberia.

Survivors include her husband: Roosevelt J. Romero of New Iberia, son: Bobby J. Romero and his wife Miranda of New Iberia, grandchildren: Dona Fay Bruno, Lucky James Romero, Lonny Romero, Chris Pinkston, Carol Ann Raney, Shannon Demick, Danielle Breaux, Doug Romero, 20 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons: Lloyd Romero, Gilbert Romero, Harry Lee Romero, parents: Evia Maturin and Rosalie Aucoin Maturin, brothers: Adam Pete Maturin, Clifton Maturin, sister: Cecile Lasseigne.

Pallbearers will be: Lonny Romero, Lucky Romero, Jason Breaux, Doug Romero, Dar Romero, Seth Chastant.

David Funeral Home 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
