Abbeville - A Memorial Service for Mr. Harris J. Albarado, Sr., 69, will be held at 2:30PM on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville, with Deacon Randy E. Hyde officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 1:30PM until the time of service. Interment will follow at a later date. A native of Belle Rose and a resident of Abbeville, Mr. Albarado passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Albarado had been employed in the oilfield and served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. Mr. Albarado was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, who enjoyed fishing, cooking, football, traveling, and going to the Casino, but most of all he dearly loved spending time with his family and always put them before anyone else. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Paulette Labit Albarado of Abbeville; his son, Harris J. Albarado, Jr. of Abbeville; daughters, Dayna Holden and her husband David of Crowley, Twyla Broussard and her husband Bryan of Ocala, Florida, Renee Collingwood and fianc Cullen Domingue of Pierre Part, and Tessa Flory and her husband Mark of Kaplan; grand children, David Holden, Derrick and his wife Brooke Holden, Devin Holden, Chloe` Broussard, Andre` Broussard, Corie Fickes, Jacob Collingwood, Matthew Collingwood, Sarah Collingwood, and Brock Flory; great grandchildren, Hailey Holden, and Taylor Holden; sisters, Velma King and her husband John of Belle Rose, Geraldine Landry and her husband Ernest, Sr. of Pierre Part, and Lisa Sparks and her husband Danny of Pierre Part; brothers Morgan Albarado, Sr., and his wife Linda of Belle Rose and Glenn Albarado and his wife Laura of Belle Rose; brother-in-law Gerald Labit of Baytown; sister-in-law, Beverly S. Labit of Abbeville; numerous nieces and nephews; and last but not least his beloved pet, Precious. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy J. and Agnes Sanchez Albarado. The family would also like to extend their extreme thanks to Heart of Hospice for all their help and support, especially Mona and Stephanie and Deacon Randy Hyde for all of his support and compassion.
