Rose Mae Foreman Trahan Erath " A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Rose Mae Foreman Trahan, 85, will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Austin Leger officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 4:00PM to 10:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of service. Internment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Mrs. Rose passed away at 8:30AM peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born, the first of eleven children, to Wilson Joseph Foreman and Donatilde Abshire Foreman, on the family farm near Rayne in Acadia Parish. She married to John Abden Trahan at the age of twenty-one and lived her adult life in Vermilion Parish where she and John raised five children. She is survived by three daughters, Ella Dean Pace and husband Robert E. Pace, Jr. Wanda Gail Hebert and husband Adam Hebert, Patricia Lane Jernigan and husband Ray Jernigan; two sons, John Lee Trahan and wife Bonnie Ann Trahan, and Darrell Wayne Trahan; three sisters, Enola Alleman and husband Wevely Alleman, Wavel Jane Girard and husband Rodney Girard, Lilly Thompson and husband Jerry Thompson; one brother Horace J. Foreman and wife Racy Foreman; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 56 years John Abden Trahan; her mother Donatilde Abshire Foreman; her father Wilson Joseph Foreman; two sisters Margaret Alleman and Hazel Jane Cormier; four brothers, Ken Norris Foreman, Dorris Foreman, Wilton Curtis Foreman and Richard Lee Foreman. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 E. Putnam Street, (337) 937-0405 is handling the arrangements.
