.Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Fernand Cop Stelly, Jr. the former Gladys Toups, 79, will held 2:00PM on Friday, May 14, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Forked Island Mrs. Stelly died at 6:25PM on Monday, May 10, 2010 at her residence. She enjoyed crocheting, doing for others, and cooking for her family and friends. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Corbett LeBouef, Msgr. Jeff Deblanc, Hospice of Acadiana, and Deacon Jim Davis. She is survived by two sons, Alvin Ray Frederick of Maurice and Kenneth Adam and his wife Joann Frederick of Maurice; two daughters, Cora Howard her husband Kyle of Forked Island and Andrea Hargrave of Kaplan; Two sisters, Lydia Kuffler of Crowley and Ella Smith and her husband Jimmy of Highlands, Texas, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Asa Joseph Frederick; her second husband, Fernand Stelly Jr.; her parents Paul Douras and Lilliane Roy Toups; a son, Allen Asa Frederick, two brothers, Alvin Joseph Toups and Paul Allen Toups Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Granger, Christian Curtright, Kelly Hardy, Donald Racca, II., Nicholas Racca, and Jared Frederick. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Seth Frederick, Jimmy Smith, Derek Francis, and Josh Wallace.
