New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Dalton Rice the former Consuella Connie Hebert, age 89, at 4:00PM Sunday May 16, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Visitation will be Saturday May 15, 2010 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Sunday from 10:00AM until service time. Interment will follow Tuesday May 18, 2010 at 10:00AM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Tx. A native of Loreauville and longtime resident of New Iberia Mrs. Rice died Thursday May 13, 2010 at 9:45AM in a local health care facility. She was a Pink Lady at Dauterive hospital for many years and was a huge fan of Dixieland Jazz. Survivors include her children, Carolyn Rice of Houston, Texas and Glenn Gary of Allen, Texas; one sister, Dot Liberto of New Orleans; two brothers, Roy Hebert of New Iberia and Ray Hebert of Maryland; grandchildren, Shawn Gary of Houston, Tx., Tammy Holland of Frisco, Tx. and Mark Gary of Allen, Tx.; great grandchildren, Courtney Cook and Brittney Donovan both of Houston and Dylan Holland of Frisco, Tx. and a great great grandchild, Kaylee Cook of Houston, Tx. She was preceded in death by her husband Dalton Rice; parents, Sidney Cap Hebert and Corinne Provost Hebert; one sister, Shirley LeJeune and two brothers, Ralph and Russell Hebert.
