Jeanerette "Funeral Services will be conducted for Huey P. Fitch, Age 72, Thursday June 25, 2009 at 11:00AM at Beau Pre Mausoleum Chapel with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday June 24, 2009 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time.
A native of Patoutville, longtime resident of Jeanerette and resident of Lafayette Mr. Fitch died Monday June 22, 2009 at 5:15PM in a Lafayette hospital.
Survivors include his mother Lena Armentor Fitch of Jeanerette; two daughters, Courtney E. Fitch of Lafayette and Angelle A. Fitch and Russell Rung also of Lafayette, one son, Huey P. Fitch, Jr. of Spring, Texas; two step sons, Eric Landry and wife Stacey of New Iberia and Lt. Col. Stephen Landry and wife Pricelda of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Lois F. Darden and husband Don of Charenton and Connie F. Landry and husband Kenneth of Jeanerette; one brother, Walter Fitch Jr. of Baton Rouge; Friend, Susan F. Landry of Lafayette and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Fitch Sr. and a son, Eugene Walter Fitch.
Pallbearers will be Huey Fitch, Jr., Eric and Stephen Landry, Hunter, Jason and Walter Fitch.
Donations may be made in Hueys name to Hospice of Acadiana or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
