Ella Mae T. Bernard Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ella Mae Touchet Bernard, 85, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Erath with Rev. Wayne Duet Officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Kaplan and a resident of Erath, Mrs. Bernard died at 6:15PM on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at a local hospital. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, hosing her carport, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Kevin Bernard and his wife Margaret of Erath; daughter Telisa Bernard Lege and her husband Timothy of Erath; seven grandchildren, Shanna Bernard LeBlanc and her husband Nathan, Ashlie Bernard Landry and her husband Clayton, Scott Bernard and his wife Andrea, Brennan Bernard and his wife Amanda, Dason Bernard, Ashlyn Lege, and Alexis Lege; eight great-grandchildren, Raleigh Claire Landry, Brayden Joseph Landry, Griffin Jude LeBlanc, Talen Antoine Landry, Cohen Paul Landry, Pierce Francis LeBlanc, John-Paul Antoine Bernard, and Kipten John Landry. Mrs. Bernard was preceded in death by her husband Leo Antoine Bernard; parents, Axest and Claire Touchet; three brothers, Elijah, Sloyd, and Joseph Touchet; four sisters, Lucille T. Hebert, Velma T. Simon, Audrey T. Broussard, and Rosa Mae T. Boudreaux. Pallbearers included Scott Bernard, Brennan Bernard, Dason Bernard, Timothy Lege, Nathan LeBlanc, and Clayton Landry.
