Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Nursely Melancon Langlinais, 92, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Youngsville on Saturday from 8:00AM until service time with a Rosary being recited by her sister-in-law at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. A native of Maurice and resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Langlinais passed away at 4:50AM on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Camelot of Broussard. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and the Ladies Altar Society at St. Anne Catholic Church. Nursely was best known by her family and friends for her fig tarts and banana nut bread. She is survived by her daughters, Joycelyn Langlinais of Youngsville and Yvonne King and her husband Wayne Lefty of Youngsville; her daughter-in-law, Sophie Langlinais of Dallas, TX; her brother, Norman Melancon and wife Isabelle of Youngsville; sister-in-law, Lou Langlinais of Youngsville; seven grandchildren, Roslyn Harding, Scott Langlinais, Rhonda Ceaser, Chantel Langlinais, Henriette Oni Blodgett, Shawn Bodoin and Taylor King; and ten great-grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Hayden, Jordon, Sullivan, Kalle, Gavin, Andrew, Carter and Peyton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Langlinais; her son, Francis Langlinais; her parents, Homer and Olive Hebert Melancon; twin brother, Learness Melancon; and her sister, Ann Walters. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Scott Langlinais, Shawn Bodoin and Taylor King; great-grandson, Hayden Netherland; brother, Norman Melancon; son-in-law, Wayne King; and special family friend, Leo Douet. Her godchild, Norma Guidroz, will sing Amazing Grace during the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nurselys name to Heart of Hospice, 201 W. Vermilion Street, Suite 100, Lafayette, LA 70501 or to the Carmelite Monestary, 1250 Carmel Avenue, Lafayette, LA 70501.
