Doris Mandella "Dot" Lissard

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Henry J. Lissard; the former, Doris Dot Mandella, age 89, Tuesday November 13, 2012 at 2:00PMat David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park with Military Graveside Honors conducted by VFW Post 1982.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home-New Iberia beginning Tuesday November 13, 2012 from 9:00AM until service time.

A native of New Orleans and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lissard died Friday November 9, 2012 at 10:30PM at Consolota Nursing Home. Dot was aWorld War IIVeteranhaving served in the U.S. Navy anda member of the VFW Auxillary. Dotwas the owner and operator of The Hobby Shop in Torrido Village.
She was an active member oftheFirst United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lissard is survived by her sons, Joey Lissard and wife Susan of New Iberia and Steve Lissard and wife Maggie of Eunice; her grandchildren, Scott Lissard and wife Leigh of Lafayette; Leslie L. Chambers and Eric Lissard and wife JerriAnn, all of New Iberia; her great-grandchildren, Clay, Emma and Drew Chambers and Tyler, Luke, Jake and Gordon Lissard.

Mrs. Lissard was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Lissard, parents, Salvadore and Annie Brewer Mandella, half-sister, Thelma Murphy and half-brothers, Arthur, David and William Smith.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott and Eric Lissard, Lester Bertrand, Roy Williams, Rudy Rudasill and Lawrence Talamo.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Horton and Jimmy Chauvin.

The Lissard family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Consolota Nursing Home for the love and care given to Mrs. Lissard.
