Barbara H. Dufrene Lafayette- Funeral Services for Barbara Hebert Dufrene, 73, will be held at 6:00PM on Monday, June 20, 2011 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette Chapel with Brother David Rousse, Chaplain with Hospice Compassus officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00PM until just prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date. A native of Raceland and a resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Dufrene passed away at 7:40PM on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at her residence. Barbara was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Doodie L. Dufrene of Lafayette; daughter, Tina D. Edge and her husband, Tommy of Lafayette; daughter April D. Wynn also of Lafayette; daughter-in-law, Nadine Dufrene of Avondale, LA; grand daughter, Rachel Edge and her fiance Don Nash of Lafayette; grand son Bryan Edge and his wife, Laurie also of Lafayette; grand daughter, Emily Wynn of Milwaukie, OR; grand son R.J. Wynn of Lafayette; grand daughter, Shanelle Fernandez and her husband, Paulie of Avondale, LA; grand son Joseph Dufrene and his wife, Sheantel of Avondale, LA; grand daughter Mary Dufrene also of Avondale, LA; Great- grand daughters Faith Nash and Grace Nash both of Lafayette and Mia Fernandez of Avondale, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Eugenie Ordoyne Hebert; son, Steve A. Dufrene and grand daughter Eugenie Dufrene.
